Eusebio Guiñazu signs for Toulouse

Formter Argentine international prop Eusebio Guinazu, has sigend for French powerhouses, Toulouse, on a short-term deal as a medical joker. His arrival is to fill the void of South African prop, Daan Human who is unavaliable through injury. The 29 year old Puma is to play for his fourth French club after playing for Toulon in 2005-2006, Agen in 2006-2007 and last season for Biarritz. He has also played Super Rugby for South African side, the Stormers. Guiñazu was part of Argentina´s training squad for Rugby World Cup 2011 and trained with the group in Pensacola, Florida but was not selected in the final squad named by coach Santiago Phelan.

Guiñazu offers a lot as he can play both prop and hooker and has done for at international level. He has played fifteen international matches for Argentinas since making his test debut in 2003 vs Paraguay. With Mario Ledesma being ruled out of the Bronze Final of France 2007, Guiñazu was called in and came on late in the match as a replacement. Guiñazu´s most recent international appearance came in 2009 vs England in Manchester as a secondhalf reaplcement for hooker Alberto Vernet Basualdo who also plays for Toulouse. In his international career, Guiñazu has scored one international try in his career, vs Venezuela in 2005.
