Canada vs USA to be biggest ever

With the countdown to Rugby World Cup 2011 nearing a completion and Canada already having confirmed its squad of thirty players who will go to New Zealand, Rugby World Cup fever has reached Canada´s largest city, Toronto. Canada are to host the USA, this Saturday, on August 06 at the BMO Field in Toronto in what is to be the first of two matches between the North American rugby powerhouses. The governing body of Canadian rugby, Rugby Canada, has confirmed that while there are still tickets avaliable for the contest, strong pre-match sales mean that the match will be played before the largest crowd ever to witness a rugby match between the two sides in Canada.

Rugby Canada’s Events Manager Jennifer Smart commented on the Rugby Canada official website, http://www.rugbycanada.ca/ that “We have been really pleased with the advance sales, however, we still anticipate a large walk-up crowd on game day. Therefore, if you have your tickets already, we recommend picking them up at your local Ticketmaster outlet prior to game day or if you have the ability to, printing them from home.” The website added that people planning on attending the match who have not yet purchased their tickets should do so prior to August 6.

Tickets are avaliable online at http://www.ticketmaster.ca/ and Rugby Canada’s CEO, Graham Brown has a message for all Canadians, as shown on the following video.
