South American international players contributing to global rugby continues with the news that 22 year old Chilean international secondrower, Pablo Huerte, is to play professionally in New Zealand for the Tasman Makos in the 2011 ITM Cup, New Zealand´s domestic championship. The ten time capped Condores forward joins the side from Christchurch club, Burnside after having impressed as a lineout jumper and for his on field presence as a ball carrier. Huerte is a large 117KG secondrower who stands tall at 2 metres.  It could well be the start of bigger and better things for the Chilean who could go on to have a successful professional career. Tasman´s first match is this coming Saturday, July 16 in an away match vs Northland. The side had a forgettable season in 2010, finishing 12th.
