Pablo Huerte - so far so good in New Zealand

The professional career of Pablo Huerte is underway as the Chilean international secondrower has played both matches for the Tasman Makos in the first two rounds of the 2011 ITM Cup in New Zealand. Huerte made his debut for the Makos on Saturday in an away match vs Northland in which the homeside were too strong in winning the match 19-9. Huerte was a secondhalf replacement, coming on in the 68th minute. The team then had to back up merely three days latter with a second away match vs North Harbour on Tuesday. North Harbour scored five second half tries to run away with a 39-15 win with Tasman guilty of turning over too much possession. Huerte started in the secondrow and had a solid match which should see him retain his place for Tasman´s round three match vs Counties Manukau on Sunday at the home of Tasman Makos, Lansdowne Park in Blenheim.

The tournament is being played in a rushed manner so that it can finish on August 28 due to the Rugby World Cup which starts on September 9 and will use all fo the countries premier stadiums.
