Argentina vs South American XV - Two Brazilians selected

The upcoming fixture between Los Pumas and a South American XV to be called the CONSUR XV has its Brazilian contingent confirmed. Two Brazilian international players have been confirmed for the match with Brazilian Champion, Lucas Duque from the country´s best team, São José Rugby of São Paulo state being named alongside Júlio César Figalo from Niterói of Rio de Janeiro State. The pair are regulars in the Brazilian international side with Duque, known as Tank, playing flyhalf and Figalo, known as Panda, playing as prop. The selection of two Brazilians underlines the substantial growth of rugby in the country and the rising level of the players. In addition to Duque and Figalo, the team is to consist of ten players from Argentina, four from Chile and four from Uruguay. 

The match will be played on August 6 in the western Argentine city of San Juan at the foot of the Andes Mountains. It is scheduled for a 3:30pm kick-off and will be played at the new Estadio Bicentenário which was recently constructed for the 2011 Copa América soccer tournament currently taking place in the country.
