RGC1404 - Canadian Success in Wales

A number of Canadian international rugby players who will feature for Canada at Rugby World Cup 2011 are part of a training camp in Wales playing for the country´s northern side known as RGC1404. The North Wales side which, in total, has eight Canadians in its side has been on a roll in putting together a positive set of results in the ‘Welsh Series’. All players are on professional contracts earning good money. This past weekend saw the team win by the biggest margin of the season. The win was the fourth against premiership opposition in as many weeks as RGC1404 demolished the rugby stronghold of Pontypool by 12 tries to 2. The Canadian players earned praise from their oppoents who said they were the best forwards in the competition.

Importantly, many players will be in Canada´s team for Rugby World Cup 2011. The younger brother of Canada´s most notable professional rugby player, Jamie Cudmore has been in fine form. Young Luke Cudmore dominated the Welsh in the linouts while his team mate, Jebb Sinclair was able to leave his mark around the park. Canadian international scrumhalf, Sean White was clearly showing his credntials as he organized things well from scrumhalf to give RGC1404 a big 47-5 half time lead. RGC1404 went on to win the match 78-10.
