The Semi Finals of the Campeonato Argentino took place on Saturday afternoon with Córdoba playing host to Cuyo (Mendoza) and Tucumán hosting Buenos Aires. Córdoba qualified for the final and showed everyone who the tournament favorites are with a superb 49-11 victory at the Córdoba Jockey Club. Cuyo did, however, compete well in the early stages and infact dominated the scrum and breakdown. Córdoba now can look to win back the championship that they last held in 2009 as they will go up against Buenos Aires in the final. Buenos Aires played Tucuman away and after a full 100 minutes which included two extra time halves of 10 minutes, the scores were tied at 20-20. Las Águilas advanced to the final because of the sides first try which was scored by German Villamil.
