Los Pampas XV 32-29 Griquas
The first try of the match was superb as Los Pampas XV fullback Joaquín Tuculet ran out the ball from his own 22 before offloading in the tackle to Sánchez and play continued with scrumhalf Martín Landajo finishing off the move for Los Pampas XV. The next two tries were scored by the Griquas as they touched down in the 20th minute through Rocco Jansen and Barry Geel in the 25th minute. This gave the South Africa side a 17-16 halftiem lead. Los Pampas XV responded well after the interval with a try to prop Bruno Postiglioni in the 48th minute. Two secondhalf penaltied gave the Argentina side a 29-17 advantage before the Griquas hit back with tries to Matthew Dobson and Wilmaure Louw which leveled the scores with three minutes left to play. In the end, however, Nicolás Sánchez was the hero as he nailed a lçate opportunity which gave Los Pampas XV the victory. A number of players from the match are pushing for an opportunity to play at Rugby World Cup 2011 with capped internationals including winger Mauro Comuzzi, hooker Agustín Creevy, secondrower Mariano Galarza, backrowers Miguel De Achaval, Tomás Leonardi, Julio Farías Cabello, Leonardo Senatore and Genaro Fessia all playing in the match. Martín Landajo, Nicolás Sánchez and Juan Imhoff all performed well again. Meanwhile, former South African international Earl Rose kicked four goals in the match.
Los Pampas XV next match will be next Saturday (March 26) in Potchefstroom vs the Leopards in a round five clash at Ollen Park Stadium.
