Argentina is the only Rugby World Cup semi finalist to have never hosted a Rugby World Cup. By 2023 Europe will have hosted four Rugby World Cup´s, Oceania three, Africa one, Asia one and the Americas zero.

Los Pampas XV 52-29 Griffons in Vodacom Cup
The best of Argentina´s domestic based players put on a solid debut display in South Africa´s Vodacom Cup competition on Saturday in defeating the Griffons 52-29 in a fine performance which included seven tries. First half tries to Juan Imhoff, Gabriel Ascárate, Martín Landajo and Miguel de Achával which were all converted by Nicolás Sanchez who also slotted a first half penalty gave Los Pampas XV a 31-8 lead. The South Africa side fought back well in the second half with three tries but the Argentina side scored three of their own in securing victory. The teams next match will take place next weekend against the highly fancied Johanesburg based Golden Lions, on Friday March the 4th.
