French Champions sign another Puma

25 year old reserve Pumas hooker, Agustín Creevy will join Clermont as a medical joker on a three month contract to replace the injured Willie Wepener. Creevy will link up with the eternal Pumas hooker, Super Mario Ledesma as well as Pumas prop Martín Scelzo. He will bolster the clubs stocks at hooker which also include former Crusader, Tií Paulo.

Creevy previously played for Biarritz for two seasons before returning to Argentina to play for San Luis. He has captained Los Jaguars in matches vs international oposition and was the captain of Los Pampas in South Africa´s Vodacom Cup in 2010. Creevy made his test debut for Argentina vs Japan in 2005 as a backrower but was transformed into a hooker in 2009 at the request of former Argentina coach, Marcelo Loffreda. Since then he has been far more successful in winning the eyes of Los Pumas coaches and as ousted Toulouseé Alberto Vernet Basualdo from the Pumas bench to now be Argentina´s second choice hooker after Ledesma. Creevy has played 7 tests thus far, 6 taking place since he became a hooker.

This opportunity to return to the Top 14 and play alongside Ledesma will help Creevy greatly. Without question he is an outstanding hooker and will be approached by other clubs.
