All seven matches of Round 6 of the 2010-2011 Top 14 featured Argentine players with more stand out performances occuring from newcomers to professional rugby. Montpellier´s new wing, Martín Bustos Moyano and Stade Français´s new centre / fullback, Martín Rodriguez Gurruchaga again had strong performances. Bustos Moyano kicked 10 points as Montpellier defeated Castres 23-12 with Pumas centre and fellow rookie, Santiago Fernández again starting at inside centre. The impressive form of Rodriguez was on show again as he scored a try, this time playing fullback rather than inside centre, and converted it. Stade Français, however, were defeated late in the game by Brive in what was a shock home loss for the Parisians.
Argentine backrowers also did well this weekend with Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe dotting down for Toulon and Alvaro Galindo scoring for Racing Metro as their teams recorded big home victories vs Agen and La Rochelle. Unfortunately, all was not well for Racing Metro or Argentina in the clubs win as Juan Martín Hernández had to leave the field after 35 minutes because of a bad thigh. On his website www.juanhernandez.com.ar, he commented that he is likely to be out for 3 weeks. While on the field, Hernández kicked two penalties for Racing Metro Paris in their 43-18 home victory vs La Rochelle.
