England vs Argentina, 2006

Photo BBC: Pumas Celebrate Triumph
In 2006, Argentina defeated England in London for the first time in history. The win was another reminder of the level of Los Pumas and the need to get them into a regular top level competition such as the Tri Nations or Six Nations.

The fact that Argentina won vs England at Twickenham was amazing but to think that one week latter England would then defeat South Africa at the same venue was just as amazing. With this two things happened.

1. There could be no more doubt about the question of Argentina and the Tri Nations.

2. The world saw that there was a South American team that could defeat any other team in the Rugby World Cup that was to take place the following year.
