Argentine Prop signs for new English Premiership side
The 2009-2010 RFU Championship (second division) winner, the Exeter Chiefs have secured the services of Argentine prop, Ignacio Elosu as they enter the the top-tier of English rugby, the Aviva Premiership for the first time ever. Elsou is joining the club from Italian side, Arix Viadana where he was noticed in last years Heineken Cup in which he outscrummaged some highly rated opponents. Coach Rob Baxter has signalled out his scrummaging as his strongest point but thinks he can develop into a better player with Exeter. He will have the opportunity of playing against better players than he did whilst at Viadana, including Argentine test props Marcos Ayerza (Leicester Tigers) and Juan Gomez (Leeds Carnegie).
Before playing in Italy for Viadana, Elosu played in England for London´s Harlequins. He has never represented Argentina.
