Argentina in record breaking win vs France

Argentina responded to their highly unexpected two test loses against Scotland in the best possible way by defeating European champions, France 41-13 in Buenos Aires. Argentina´s seasoned forwards responded to the criticism and led from the front to out class the highly fancied French forwards.

Flyhalf and captain Felipe Contepomi proved that his career is far from over with two tries and a personal total of 31 points. Argentina scored two additional tries, one each to backrower Juan Fernández Lobbe and right winger Rafael Carballo, who was playing his first run on test since November 2008. French Wing, Julien Malzieu scored for Les Bleus.

The win was Argentina´s fourth in a row vs France in Argentina and the seventh win in the previous nine matches. It further underlines Argentina as a powerful rugby country and the strongest country to never have hosted a Rugby World Cup.
